Ride to Recovery: Project Hero

From building & donating adaptive bikes and producing cycling events to supporting community-based rehabilitation and recovery programs & important medical and clinical research, Project Hero is raising awareness of the national PTSD mental health crisis and making a difference in the lives of thousands of Veterans and First Responders, as well as their families and communities.

Stop by the Community Center at the Keene Municipal Complex to say thanks and sit down and grab a bite. Breakfast will be served. The day/time TBA.

Movies in the Park

Ride to Recovery: Project Hero

Each year, our Keene Business Development Corporation (Type B board) advertises and hosts various movies at Elisa Carver Park. Spectators bring their own chairs and blankets, and light refreshments are served.

Easter Egg Hunt

9/11 Memorial Ceremony

On Sunday, March 21, 2024 children and young adults are invited to participate in an Easter Egg hunt at Elisa Carver Park. This is a community sponsored event. Other activities may be available as well. Vendors are welcome to attend at no charge.

The egg hunt will start at 2 pm and end when all the eggs are collected. Be on the lookout for a special guest--the Easter bunny!

9/11 Memorial Ceremony

Every year on Sept. 11, the city of Keene along with Keene PD and Keene Fire Rescue conducts a ceremony to honor and remember those who lost their lives that day. The ceremony will consist of special music from our local schools, flag lowering, bagpipes. During the flag lowering, all Fire, EMS, Police, and Military are invited to either participate by standing at attention and saluting or simply observe. Class-A’s or Dress Blues are encouraged, but not required.
