Keene hosts the Johnson County Police Memorial in honor of fallen police officers who died in the line of duty by a reading of their names and a small presentation. Law enforcement officers across Johnson County are invited to attend and be part of this event. 

National Police Week is celebrated annually, a tradition started in 2015 by Lisa Parrish, current Mayor of Keene.  This event honors our law enforcement with daily meals and gifts of appreciation donated from local businesses and community members.  Community members are encouraged during this week to stop by and say thank you to law enforcement for their service to the community.
